Printing a portion of a map using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4:

View the map. Zoom into the area you want to print. Look for the Adobe Acrobat tool bar icons at the top of the screen.

The selection tools all share the same spot on the tool bar. The 3 tools are:

Text Selection Tool, Column Selection Tool, Graphic Selection Tool

We want the Graphic Selection Tool. If one of the other tools is showing on the tool bar, click and hold over the icon (on your Adobe Acrobat Toolbar, not this web page) and the other buttons should appear. Select the Graphic Selection Tool by moving the cursor over the icon and then releasing the mouse button.

The cursor should change shape and yo u may now select a rectangular portion of the screen by clicking and dragging. Select Print from the menu. In the print dialog box under "Print Range," choose the option "Selected Graphic" and then continue to print. Only the selected portion of the map should print.
