Sources of the data used in the these county maps:

City boundaries are taken from the 1995 TIGER database from the US Census Bureau.

Locations and names of other places in Ohio were taken from GNIS database created by the USGS.

Electric service area boundaries, telephone exchange boundaries, townships, and major highways, were all digitized by staff at the PUCO. Digitization of all this data was based on 24,000 scale topographic maps from the US Geological Survey.

Digitization of school district boundaries was based on a document from the Ohio Department of Education entitled "Maps of Ohio School Districts 1985". If the portion of a school district within a county is less than one square mile in area, it is left unshaded to simplify the maps.

Natural gas pipeline data is licensed by the PUCO from MapSearch Services, and we are required to add the following disclaimer.
