Description:

Abstract: Telephone exchange boundaries.

Purpose:

Created by digitizing telephone exchange boundaries from 24,000 scale USGS topographic maps. The boundaries had been maintained by the Public Utilities Commission on individual quadrangle maps. Mylar versions of the quadrangle maps were used when digitizing. Updated 7/07: Slivers were merged into adjoining exchange. Still contains "nones" and "joints". For feature class without "joints" or "nones" use "Exchange2007_738ex".  Updated 1/08 to remove gaps through topology rules/create feature/merges.  Last updated 4/09.
